I nearly lost a macbook that way. It's the effort to streamline the size and design but it costs us a lot on a practical level. I'm down for a slightly bulkier magic rectangle that I can actually repair and tweak

yea. i'm amazed my little brother ads-1500w scanner still works! its over 12 years old and still can scan wirelessly to my nas or macbook. not bad!

I think next time it will be better to get a much newer gaming PC with high amounts of terabytes, so that I can use it without having to reinstall or uninstall programs that take up so much storage and slows it down. I had this one since 2019, compared to my MacBook that I had since 2013.

I use an old MacBook running Logic pro x from 2012 to edit audio since its the workflow im most comfortable with and it has an insane memory leak that randomly explodes my RAM for no reason after a few hours, but occasionally it happens like 5 mins in and I have to hope a backup saved.
