The cat's latest trick is to stand by the cat flap, doing a sad yowling noise, until I open it wide enough so he can look out, and on that basis decide whether to go out of it. It isn't enough that I open the BIG HUMAN DOOR for him, I now also have to open his OWN DOOR, which he can DO HIMSELF
