New graduates & hopefuls in game dev, hear me. Sell yourselves better! I do want to salute your courage & your energy. It's not easy to put yourself out there and contact studios and strangers, sending requests in the form of cold calls and spontaneous applications. But it's often not enough.
Not that I want to be a bummer, but there is a vast difference between enjoying a hobby and enjoying the same hobby as a professional. For better and for worse, depending. Be aware of it, or at least be aware that adaptability is primordial if you choose a professional tied to your passions!
