These 3 dunks by Bona last night were wild. On the first two, he got to the hoop through contact in less than two dribbles. Third, well, SLED DRILL!

VJ Edgecombe was excellent in his summer league debut — and made the Sixers look good for drafting him over Ace Bailey. Who else should you be watching in SLC and Vegas over the next couple weeks? 👇🏻 www.inquirer.com/sixers/s….

Not only did VJ show off his phenomenal athleticism but he also showed he could slow down and play off 2 feet + run the PnR at his speed. He also stampeded a few catches, attacking downhill immediately, which will make it harder to sag off him as he develops his shot. His potential is sky high

The newest @thedirtyinning.bsky.social is about the time the Phillies went to Houston and, despite prolific starting pitching, got shutout for 2 games. "Last month?" No, this was August 1974. Because history is the present, just from before. @nocartridge.bsky.social www.patreon.com/posts/dir….

For all FIFA’s sins, there’s one definite winner in the Club World Cup so far. Philadelphia shone in the soccer world like never before during its eight-game run, drawing raves from people who came here from around the world. A piece on the memories I’ll cherish: www.inquirer.com/soccer/c….

Philadelphia shone in the soccer world like never before during the Club World Cup

Nearly 350,000 fans watched the games at Lincoln Financial Field, and lots of people who came to town from afar raved about the city. The memories everyone made could change how Philly views soccer.

Ranger Suárez has pitched like an All-Star, but his health remains on everybody’s mind. It explained yesterday’s early exit. “It was my shoulder and my back overall [in Atlanta] … But that’s why they told me they were going to have a pitch limit today.” www.mlb.com/news/ranger-...

Plenty of Cavan discourse on this here site before the wacky finish stole the show. The No. 1 thing is he looked like a 15-year old adjusting to the speed and physicality of MLS. The Union lineup didn't set him up to naturally get the ball in dangerous positions, but he couldn't force his way in.

Final: Nashville 1, Union 0 #DOOP A table-turning final few minutes of chaos at Geodis Park. 10-man Nashville caught Union asleep in extra time, and Mukhtar ignited late celebration on his earned PK. The Union were quite a beat off in front of goal and missing any quality in the box.

101' A chance at the back post for the Union in pure chaos, and Lovitz pokes away a cross. Blake is up on the next corner.

100' Mukhtar rifles it home down the middle and high. And runs to the corner to do Diogo Jota's celebration with his teammates. The crowd goes wild.
