Some theater girl made a Dark Fountain with only her cutting words, and now you, a normal owl who would rather be eating mice*, have to give her a coming of age adventure while keeping all these dang goblins in line? * a theory I posited in letterboxd.com/anbaric_ga…, after watching the movie

on the other hand though, sadly neon's distribution methods have not been so great, they fumbled robot dreams' US release and right now they're not giving arco much of a widespread theatrical run in the US either and that's their awards darling this year, we might wait till after the oscars even....

Yesterday we watched four films for Slothmas | 25, and Willow (1988) was obviously the best one! #lastfourwatched #filmsky

A film whereby two of our finest actors try and convince us they love each other enough to hate each other. And fail. #Another52FilmsIn52Weeks #FilmSky🎥 No 42

Watched WAKEFIELD on prime yesterday, and although it ended up being a series of missed possibilities, there was more than enough in there to surprise the viewer and keep you (me) engaged throughout. I want to remake this immediately. Also with Tracey Walter as the hissing homeless man. #filmsky

A ★★★ review of Wakefield (2016)

Conceptually great (husband hides in attic to spy on his wife and kids, for a year or so), interesting throughout, but it is a bit underwhelming in its execution: constant narration of thoughts, few o...

Narrowly beating out Kenneth Brannagh's version for my top spot of favourite adaptations of one of my favourite books, also. It's beautiful in every possible way and if it doesn't win all of the Oscars, I'll be furious.

Oh my stars. Frankenstein (2025) is amazing. I'm... in awe. This was fantastic, this is why I love movies. An adaptation of my favorite book. At a loss for words. Who else loved this one? Let's share some of that. #filmsky #horrorsky #nowwatching

#MovieReview: #Hamnet. While not a movie that's really in my wheelhouse, it's good for what it is. The acting here is what stands out most. Jessie Buckley will be a strong Oscars contender. The Globe Theatre scene is emotionally powerful, as is young Hamnet’s bond with his twin sister. #Filmsky

Star Wars came out in 1977 which was before Star Trek, The Motion Picture’s 1979 release 46 years ago. Its influence was on this movie, not on Wrath of Khan.
