Good morning. #BOTD #filmsky #moviesky
A young man with messy brown hair is wearing a grey and navy striped zipper sweatshirt over red and navy striped polo shirt. He is looking at someone with a goofy grin, exposing the braces on his teeth.
Ben Stiller, born on this day in 1965, as Ted Stroehmann in a scene from the film THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY (1998)

I watched Venom Last Dance (2024) and it was a predictable example of US propaganda with racist stereotypes of Mexicans (killed comically) and the US military portrayed as selfless heroes with unstoppable advanced technology and weaponry. Nostalgia is a cornerstone of fascism. #filmsky

A quick four favourite first watches for November, a firm fave was Humanist Vampire with it's dead pan humour and witty one liners. Majoneze was a short, sharp but fun FU to the patriarchy. A place Without Fear was hypnotic and The Red Sea Makes Me Wanna Cry really made me want to cry. ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽฌ๐ŸŽž๏ธ

#ACenturyOfCinema continues, 2000: Verhoven's HOLLOW MAN asks what would happen if a maniacally egotistical scientist (Kevin Bacon) became invisible. Misogynistic voyeurism & murder ensues. Great cast, good fx & an exciting finale in an elevator shaft. DTV sequels on my watchlist! #filmsky #scifi

Japanese film โ€œKokuhoโ€ (2025), which was selected as the Japanese entry to Best International Film Oscar at the 2026 Academy Awards, is an ambitious backstage drama to behold. It is being shown in South Korean theaters now. My late review. kaist455.com/2025/11/30/k...

I was going to watch the Stanley Donen musical Royal Wedding because Letterboxd told me it was available on BFI Player. But it isn't, so now I'm watching... *checks notes* Black Magic Rites.

Bugonia is one for the real freaks who liked The Lobster
My review for Bugonia on letterboxd

"Called a few of the twists in this, but the tension built up by playing a girlboss CEO off a too-online conspiracy nut working at her fulfillment center was the more fulfilling part of the movie

Damn good show by all involved"

4 stars and a heart
