I absolutely hate the Fourth of July Holiday. PTSD sometimes means that the sound of gunfire/fireworks is very triggering but also as a pacifist i have a hard time celebrating the death of soldiers anywhere~ even those of a country overthrowing a King of England in order to take it all themselves...

But I think given how much it freaks out people with PTSD (especially veterans) and pets, and how prolific and relatively affordable drones are, we might give a bit more thought to doing light drone shows versus huge professional pyrotechnic shows?

Also, there are a lot of veterans of the GWOT with PTSD of some form. Some may not mind loud noises, some may be triggered into horrible flashbacks. Perhaps the best way to thank them for their service that night is peace and quiet in their own homes.

Since Trump came on the scene, there’s been this type of person who acts like anything that won’t literally get every Trump voter to change their mind isn’t worth doing when actual political change is made on the margins and in increments.

The British Army in WWI had a charge that they laid against soldiers that were suffering from shell shock, now know as PTSD.
It was LMF - Lack of Moral Fibre, it was unfair then but now to my mind it is a charge that should be levelled against every Congress MAGAt 😡
