i've seen a few people complain about switching accounts on the bsky app being a hassle, so for those who aren't aware: if you hold down on your profile icon in the bottom right, you can immediately swap between accounts you're logged into.

The OnlyPosts feed is a must. This is a good way to view the people you follow without any reposts. My main feed is so stuffed now that I need to check OnlyPosts from time to time to make sure I didn’t miss anything. That said, this should only supplement. Reposts are the lifeline of this platform.

if you wanna upload your own gif to bsky for your pinned post or just cuz, here's a workaround:
1. upload gif to tenor (you must be logged in)
2. on bsky: new post > gif button > "@your-tenor-username" into the search bar
it should show all your saved tenor gifs ready to use 🤗 #bskytricks

PRIVACY: Bluesky is fundamentally an open and public network, and your posts are public data. But you can make them a *little* less public by flipping this switch under Settings > Moderation. It forces Bluesky app users to log in to view your posts (and you're less likely to show up in searches). 🧵

Bluesky has a VERY robust system for blocks and MUTES
You can mute words or phrases for forever, 24 hours, 7 or 30 days, if you do not want to hear about #Cybertrucks for a week.

You can bookmark a post by commenting on it with a 📌. Once you've done that, it will appear in your "my pins" feed (link below). These are only visible to you.
(Also I mute the emoji so I don't have to see it every time someone pins something!)

1. in settings > home feed preferences, adjusting the number of likes for a reply to show up on your feed can make it less dead
2. also check out moderation > content filtering and adjust!
