Even with the dismissal, Kenobi still watched him. Watched his lips, tracing words without a sound as he read line after line, disdain and satisfaction both absent from him as he worked. Watched his idle hand tap a blunt claw on the small table, writing notes to himself that not even he could read. Maul was fascinating to him, a creature he had never seen before despite having met many times.
