Apr 30, 1976 NYT The 1973 film, helped introduce reggae, a rock‐calypso combination, to American audiences and began quite a career for its star, Jimmy Cliff. It's not the Jamaica you see in travel brochures. And it's basically done like an old James Cagney film.
