By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Donald Trump: widening inequality, economic insecurity, and the unchecked political power of corporations and the rich. Political centrism is nonsense. There is no middle ground between democracy and oligarchy.

Disabled people, like anyone else, may not want to be filmed by strangers in their day-to-day lives—and are uniquely affected by surveillance in ways that predate smart glasses.
Is Meta using disabled people to promote its glasses?

Is Meta using disabled people to promote its glasses?

AI glasses are a double-edged sword for disabled people, who face unique risks from surveillance.

You can definitely see the little dot of less-dense pixels in the top left corner of the 18 Pro. I wouldn't say it's annoying, but it is uncanny.

There’s only one person who knows exactly when the world is going to end but it turns out their knowledge of Mayan arithmetic scripts is kinda questionable

People cheer Newsom for fighting Trump but the truth is that Newsom is just jealous of Trump. He wants to rule the same way. See how he's trying to legislate via executive orders, as if that's a legitimate way to govern (California has a legislature!)

i’m sure this will work out well and will not be implemented in bad faith www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/u...

Based on these results, I strongly advise against any LAX-bound pilots relying on Google's AI Overview for navigation assistance to their assigned runway.
A Google AI Overview result for "LAX runways" features three thumbnail images of the airport's runway layout and then this text:

"Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has four parallel, east-west asphalt runways divided into a northern pair and a southern pair.

Runway List and Lengths

• 07L/25R: 12,091 feet long, 150 feet wide (North outboard)
• 07R/25L: 11,095 feet long, 200 feet wide (North inboard)
• 06L/24R: 8,925 feet long, 150 feet wide (South outboard)
• 06R/24L: 10,285 feet long, 150 feet wide (South inboard)

Operations and Traffic Patterns"

The problem: Google has the runway numbers flipped. The 24s are on the north side of LAX, the 25s on the south.
