I put a gold nib on a Lamy Safari—sort of the fountain pen equivalent of putting boutique pickups in your beater guitar—and honestly it’s freaking awesome.

I *might* have an art supply problem. Thing is I found the paper I like best, and the drawing pencils I like best, and the mechanical pencils I like best, and the gel pens I like best, and the fountain pens I like best, and the pigment pens I like best. Over years and a small fortune..

For the fountain pen fans: my local bookstore is doing the InkVent thing and providing book recommendations inspired by the ink.

We thought we'd do something fun for Inkvent this year! As we share our color swatches, we'll be pairing them with a reading suggestion from our booksellers. A limited number of Inkvent calendars are still available in store, so it's not too late to join the fun.

I'm half way through this notebook now, blitzing the tiny figures out These are merfolk, for a little bit of variety. Drawn as ever with my trusty schon p6 fountain pen, Adenglaw 🖋️
