I don't think an American botch job on Russian pronunciation has bugged me this much since Mr. Chekov was wandering around San Francisco in Star Trek IV asking randos where he could find the nuclear wessels.

There is, in fact, a Russian letter that looks like our e and is pronounced yeh, but the thing is, and follow me here, that is NOT the letter in Trenin's name that everyone keeps saying as yeh. His name is spelled Тренин, and that и is *always* pronounced as a long ee, no yeh.
