now that I think about it, Gene Roddenberry's whole "24th century tech is so advanced it can't possibly malfunction" ridiculousness could explain the baffling lackadaisicalness in "11001001" when exactly zero people are on duty in Engineering to monitor the giant antimatter reactor

Nothing makes me lean forward in my chair quite like realising the star trek ep I’m watching is a time travel one

In ‘Death Wish’, B’Elanna replies to Janeway with ‘Yes Ma’am’. She spent one episode hanging out with Tom in Engineering and she’s already picked up his figures of speech 🤭 She does it when he’s missing in that alternate dimension void thing later on too.

Tuvok just blew up the hull of a starship as part of an impromptu long-con and Janeway's response was to shake her head warmly and say "Typical," with a glint in her eye as the captain whose ship it was went "HUH!?" He's her princess who can do no wrong. I love Trek novels. (if Tuvok's in them)

I refuse to watch Deep Space 9 and now I'm being accused of Dax evasion

I let my body hair grow and now I’m being accused of wax evasion.

"More likely Netflix simply couldn’t strike a deal with Paramount Skydance, who may now have different priorities..." Sounds about right. Star Trek is an antidote to the Star Wars universe we currently reside in. Of course the empire prefers to silence criticism. trekmovie.com/2025/12/11/a...

My brother sent me a VHS recording that he converted into video file. It's me in 1994 trying explain to my dad what a 'Nexus' is while my little sister runs in circles around both of us (I had just seen 'Star Trek: Generations').

Given that it's that time of the year again, here's another "Elf on the Shelf" meme I made a few years back. #StarTrek #ElfOnTheShelf
Depicted is a doctored scene from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Most Toys. Kivas Fajo (played by Saul Rubinek) is showing Data (played Brent Spiner) his "original" Elf on the Shelf.
Full disclosure: it's not the original Elf on the Shelf (but don't tell Kivas that). Meme created via traditional Photoshop.
