It's so disheartening watching this court carry out the explicit project of white supremacy so blatantly while gaslighting the public to say it's trying to stop discrimination. They're dismantling every major legacy of the civil rights movement. We need to reform this court.

Abortion access nationwide will be severely restricted, even in blue states after this. Will require in person dispensing. Pharmacies can no longer fill prescriptions and just stop dispensing. Providers like aid access may still be able to mail pills due to their setup.

This is an absolute travesty. The 5th circuit is imposing a nationwide restriction on accessing abortion medication. This is such a blatant power grab and perversion of the law. www.reuters.com/world/us-cou...

It is so depressing watching everything previous generations fought and died for be dismantled piece by piece. These basic protections and institutions, while imperfect, still pushed in the right direction. We are failing future generations and leaving a worse world behind for them.

The lawyers at DOJ should be disbarred for this. They're engaging in blatant judge and forum shopping while neglecting their basic ethical duties to violate the privacy of trans patients.

NEW: Judge Reed O'Connor of the Northern District of Texas granted a DOJ petition on Thursday to enforce a subpoena issued in Washington, D.C. against Rhode Island Hospital for invasive gender-affirming care patient info. The petition was granted the same day it was filed.

U.S. DISTRICT COURT
NORTHERN DISTRICT OF TEXAS
FILED
APR 3 0 2026
IN THE MATTER OF
ADMINISTRATIVE SUBPOENA 25-
1431-032
N04 - 26 MC - 006-0
GOVERNMENT'S PETITION FOR ENFORCEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE
SUBPOENA PURSUANT TO 18 U.S.C. Β§ 3486(c)
On July 3, 2025, the Department of Justice (Department) served a Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) administrative subpoena on Rhode Island
Hospital (RI Hospital), with a return date of Thursday, August 7, 2025. The subpoena is
within the Department's statutory authority to investigate violations of the Federal Food,
Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), the information requested is relevant to the Department's
inquiry, and the subpoena is neither overbroad nor unduly burdensome. Yet, over ten
months after service, RI Hospital has not complied with the subpoena. In fact, it has
produced only one six-page document in response to the Department's fifteen document
requests. The Department therefore moves for an order compelling RI Hospital to fully
comply.

FORT WORTH DIVISION
IN THE MATTER OF
ADMINISTRATIVE SUBPOENA 25-

Β§
Β§
Civil Action No. 4:26-MC-00006-0
ORDER
Before the Court is the government's petition to enforce compliance with the above
captioned subpoena (ECF No. 1). The Court finds that the subpoena was issued within the
Department of Justice's statutory authority, the subpoena seeks documents reasonably relevant to the investigation, and the subpoena's demands are reasonable. The Court further finds that the witness, Rhode Island Hospital, was served with the subpoena on July 3, 2025, and has failed to
fully comply with the subpoena by providing records to the government on or before the original due date of August 7, 2025, or the date of the Government's filing of its petition to enforce of April 30, 2026. The Court further finds that the witness has neither filed a motion to quash nor shown
just cause for noncompliance. The Court determines that the government's petition to enforce
should be and is hereby GRANTED.

I remember so many people in 2016 being like "give me one reason besides the Supreme Court to vote for Hillary."

Hillary was right about everything.

There is no path forward but to pack this court to undo 50 years of ideological capture by the far right. Nothing short of that will be enough to undo the damage.

The gutting of the voting rights act will lead to "the largest-ever decline in the number of Black representatives on Capitol Hill [ever] β€” breaking a record set around the end of the post-Civil War Reconstruction era." It's a purge of Black representation. www.npr.org/2026/04/30/n...
A line graph titled "A weakening of the Voting Rights Act may lead to a record drop in Black representation in Congress," showing the number of U.S. House districts represented by a Black member from 1869 to the present.
The x-axis displays Congressional sessions from the 41st to the 119th, and the y-axis tracks the number of seats from 0 to over 60. The solid gold line, representing actual districts, shows a small initial peak before dropping to near zero; this drop is accompanied by an annotation marking "1877: Reconstruction ends."
Representation remains relatively flat at near zero until another annotation marks "1965: Voting Rights Act enacted," where the line begins a sharp, steady climb. It reaches its highest point at an annotation reading "119th Congress (2025-2027): 63 seats." From this peak, a dashed gold line projects a steep downward trend, annotated with "Future Congresses: at least 15 seats at risk."

Feels like reality is setting in that there's been no oil getting through the strait of Hormuz for 2 months and countries are literally going to run out. Europe is on the verge of being out of jet fuel. Meanwhile, the stock market is st all time highs. None of it makes any sense.
A screenshot of a Google Finance chart for **Crude Oil Futures (NYMEX: CLW00)**.
The current price is displayed as **106.82 USD**, with a green upward arrow indicating an increase of **+45.84 (75.17%)** over the past 6 months. The timestamp reads Apr 30, 6:42 AM EDT.
The line graph visually plots this 6-month period:
 * **Y-axis:** Ranged with markers at 50, 100, and 150.
 * **X-axis:** Marked with Dec 2025, Feb 2026, and Apr 2026.
 * **Trend:** The price remains relatively stable around 60 USD from late 2025 through February 2026. In late February, the line begins a sharp, volatile upward trend, peaking just above 100, experiencing a sharp brief drop in early April, and then climbing again to end at the current point of 106.82.
