Today: Went for a nice walk, got some coffee, worked on the horror novel. I've been working on 3 big projects with my agent while trying to juggle life. Later: working out and more writing. Much love and be good to each other.

I might be wrong about this, but it appears the tagline for the ‘Banco de Chile’ is ‘El banco de Chile’.
The logo for Banco de Chile with a tagline beneath that says El banco de Chile

Sociopths or psychopths, what do you think? (I've always been unclear on their definitions and difference.)

FB friend passed this Ai tidbit to me. No "Manual connection" for the wife on LinkedIn.

I built an automation in one night because I was tired of staring at my wife across the breakfast table at 7am trying to come up with "feelings."
Here's what happened:
Last Tuesday, I sat down with coffee trying to write an anniversary card. 45 minutes later, I had three words ("Happy anniversary, Susan") and a migraine. That's when it hit me - why am I loving my spouse manually?

By Wednesday morning, 1 had a complete romance pipeline running.

Every day at 8am, ChatGPT generates three
"spontaneous" compliments based on my communication style and are texted to my wife automatically.

Total build time? One evening.

This is the exact system running the household right now.

The "thinking of you, beautiful" text she read today was approved from my phone while I was crushing a deadlift.

Here's what I learned: Most husbands are grinding on emotional labor that could be automated in a night. We're so busy working IN the marriage that we forget we can build systems to work FOR the marriage.

You don't need to be a couples counselor. You don't need a massive emotional budget. You just need to stop accepting "manual human connection" as an answer.

What's one relationship milestone you're experiencing manually right now that you could automate this week?

Stephen Root on Widow’s Bay. He’s showing how slept on he has been as an actor at times. He’s delivering great lines with amazing pathos. Stunning

The people who keep saying these types of ammendments wont get passed are the same ones who are surprised when it does. But you know they've only been talking about this since his last term

"let the pedants and pundits gibber in the streets" pour one out for Ursula Le Guin, realest of the real ones
This rises in part from the choice of pronoun. I call Gethenians “he” because I utterly refuse to mangle English by inventing a pronoun for “he/she.” [This “utter refusal” of 1968 restated in 1976 collapsed, utterly, within a couple of years more. I still dislike invented pronouns, but I now dislike them less than the so-called generic pronoun he/him/his, which does in fact exclude women from discourse; and which was an invention of male grammarians, for [badly highlighted in yellow] until the sixteenth century the English generic singular pronoun was they/them/their, as it still is in English and American colloquial speech. It should be restored to the written language, and let the pedants and pundits squeak and gibber in the streets. [end highlight] In a screenplay of The Left Hand of Darkness written in 1985, I referred to Gethenians not pregnant or in kemmer by the invented pronouns a/un/a’s, modeled on a British dialect. These would drive the reader mad in print, I suppose; but I have read parts of the book aloud using them, and the audience was perfectly happy, except that they pointed out that the subject pronoun, “a” pronounced “uh” [ǝ], sounds too much like “I” said with a Southern accent.]

As a Puerto Rican who condemns Lin Manuel Miranda, I think I am in my rights to ask for Mr. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for the condemnation of Lin Manuel Miranda‘s atrocity for my people and everybody else: Hamilton /j

Folks, we got another jingle judge. Submit your 2-K jingle by TOMORROW night (5/1) — Lin Manuel Miranda and Cardi B are helping me pick the top 5 before New York votes on a winner. Rules and more info at nyc.gov/jingle.
