THREAD. 3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead. We decided to call him Jim. This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

'In the winter garden' - my favourite geometric garden aerial that I've ever done! I don't remember if I shared it here or not yet - it has camellia bushes in the centre and beds of winter heather and hellebore :) the geometric landscapes are always more challenging and I love that! #embroidery

I crashed my mother’s library craft class this morning. I think we were supposed to be felting snowpeople ornaments but they had a variety of cookie cutter shapes for us.
My mother made a planet earth and I made a barnyard-goose-shaped Canada Goose. Not bad for my first try felting!

I’m living with my mom (and a zoo of all our combined pets) as my rental doesn’t have a functional roof nor sewage yet. I assumed she’d appreciate a break from empty nesting loneliness but she’s definitely got a more vibrant social life than me. En route to a history lecture at the library now.
