If you want to know what shenanigans I meant when I said I was working in a new medium: I'm altering one of my mom's childhood toys to look like a sculpture of hers that got destroyed. There are... delays. It turns out my air dry clay had a hole in the package, so the project is on hold.

Foam clay egg boi

working on this raven skull cast with air dry clay, came out pretty nicely. Some of the more delicate areas broke a bit, but I am going to lean into that. I think the other half will be mostly resin, maybe some minerals or something.
