He had managed top teams in England including Chelsea, West Ham & Liverpool, where he won the WSL title twice
He also had a short spell in the NWSL with Boston Breakers

I'm stunned to hear of the death of former Boston Breakers coach Matt Beard. He was a terrific, kind person who always had time for supporters. The Breakers were in good hands for a future that never got to happen. We got to know his family as well, and I send them love from Boston.

Managed in NWSL with the Boston Breakers, won 2 titles in the top flight of women’s football with LFC and got them out of the championship in 2022.

Too many voices at once. It's hard to focus in on just one of them. The UFL had the same problem last season with audio coming from everywhere. If the PA system at the venue is up to par, just letting the environment mics pick it up is fine.

the Manitoba/Alberta broadcast made the creative decision to have the PA announcer mic'd up about as loud as the commentators, which is one way to make the audience feel like they're at the game
