Frankly, I'd probably delete this acct and start a new one given the pay grade. I mean I've got this all archived and ATproto is pretty well-suited to establishing a chain of custody, but I think it was a mistake to create a non-anon account and then talk about how much you hate vulnerable patients

yeah that's fair, there seem to more choices for fedi implementation also, but the atproto ecosystem is still young... I do think PDS private data is on the roadmap but not sure if that will translate to a feature like you're looking for

not referring to you personally at all this just came up when i was learning about the preference signals proposal for "AI" training on atproto and people completely shut down any discussion of hard enforcement at the protocol level which i really despise

yeah i mean just like with fedi the issue is never technical feasibility and with fedi at least i feel implementors are much more open to changing their mind about things like conditional or limited visibility whereas atproto takes a very absolutist approach i find terribly obnoxious

ATproto seems like it would not easily support this but it probably wouldn't hurt to have an appview-enforced implementation. Posts wouldn't *actually* be private though so it might be tricky to make sure that's very obvious to users

But yeah in case you didn’t know and wanted to pick a language I can show you an example in it. But you can create tids via a date time and use them as a “since this time” to get all the records with atproto. Really neat tidbit I learned recently

I get the mindset - "look! there are so many posts!" but (and this is a pretty critical problem with the product design around atproto and the incentives presented to app developers) I don't _want those posts_, I want _new_ ones with a different and specific intention. don't call a tail a leg
