Taproot decline caused by the fungus Xylaria necrophora results in yellowed leaves, wilting & premature death of soybean. Foliar symptoms appear as an interveinal yellowing/necrosis. The taproot and lateral sections turn black due to the fungal infection. Control involves crop rotation 🧪

My native state simply sucks. It’s run by cowards and sell-outs on one hand and sell-outs and bigots on the other.

Tiny Daisy Island in a sea of yellow sand! The Mossy Sunray #Hyalosperma demissum, part Gnaphalieae tribe, many of this genera looks like a showy everlasting but some like this one dont scream Aster at first glance! Up close tho they are a really cute species worthy of getting down to ground level!

Had a great time treasure-hunting for galls with the British Plant Gall Society this weekend! Also proud to introduce my son to the amazing world of cecidology. 😍

Paradox of western Europe: you can buy a portative sequencer with all the chemistry within days, but you'll need to wait weeks and months for almost any medical appointment. And usually even small problems worsen significantly during this time.

Hey so did everybody just notice that I'm poor af and trying to not use my truck for the entire month to save on gas money and decide to make a holiday of it to make me feel better? Is that where this #weekwithoutdriving thing came from? Because that's really nice of you all.

I’m working backwards through time at this waterfall. September’s sample contained only two spores from #AquaticHyphomycetes: one each of Tricladium splendens and Triscelophorus accuminata.
