been thinking about the "aftermath" of what happens to tychon after mercy-killing his grandmother.
i think once he's cleaned up, bandaged up and safe at home he has his "shut down" moment and just. doesn't speak for a day or two.

sometimes being able to see the sparkling lifeblood of the world is...too much.
tychon's eye thing means he sese high concentrations of ambient magic. the higher it is..the worse the visual static is. his glasses have two purposes: dull the static & make his eyes less visible. #gvlore #sketch #art

tychon isn't big on casual touch until he's pretty comfortable with someone. but i think when their class is over, he and luka walk part of the way home on the same path and eventually he just kind of gently shoulder checks luka before they part ways like "see you tomorrow" #gvlore

#gvlore i think i *will* stick with "sweet" being the euphemism for gay in lore.
also it can make tychon's preferred endearment for luka something that's more sexuality specific (he calls luka "sweetheart").

just doodlin a new general reference for them. their fluffy "crest" can start as high as the back of the head, but it's not unusual to see a grave dog with no fur at all until the shoulders. rarely, even the forelimbs will be sparsely coated.

forgot i had a floorplan for tychon's flat!
upstairs & downstairs, respectively.
how does a young 20-something afford this? easy! he doesn't. the university paid for it. caveat: he didn't get to choose the flat at all and has to furnish it himself.

grave dogs, being necrophages, have bald faces and necks. often the bald patches extend to the chest. they have large "crests" or manes of fur from the back of the head down and around the shoulders. #gvlore

despite studying the graves and tombs left behind from the past, tychon's society doesn't have graves or any real tradition of burial. he often wonders what someone who did his kind of work in the future would think of the gravelands that people are put into now.

man killing myself today thinking of how to would have to explain that his dad's mother is dead. to his dad. and he kind of did it.
his dad doesn't have much of a relationship to his mom but it would still be seriously impactful. #gvlore

i originally thought of tychon as the black sheep of his family what with his weird little bone obsession but...his mother is a physician. maybe he gets that weird little streak from her and her in-deptth knowledge and fascination with bodies. #gvlore

in golden verse, luka's specialty is also in the realm of the dead, only...not their bodies. it's more the things they left behind. specifically things that seem to be of some importance. things left in the tombs they go to. things arranged in settlements. places where "people" were. #gvlore
