We're all sitting in a cold room. Some are just handcuffed. Others, like me and Velia, have to sit behind containment runes. We've all been treated. They didn't wipe all the blood and dirt off though, so we still look like shit. There's cameras. I guess they're hoping we say something incriminating while we wait to be interrogated. I stare at one. Bruno extends a finger to it. I chuckle and smirk, and his tail wags a little. I sigh and lean my head on his shoulder. It's hard to stay mad at Beni, the big furry idiot. Ignacio keeps rubbing his chin. He stares through the floor. Brooding. I roll my eyes. I don't know what Rosa sees in him. Irene looks at him with concern. "Iggy? What are you thinking?" He glances at her. Rolls his shoulders and looks away. "Nothing." "You sure think hard about nothing," Elu notes wryly. I snicker. He glares at my friend. "Fuck you, snake." "Suck my tail, boot licker." She doesn't miss a beat. There's a reason she's my bestie. "He was thinking about growing a beard," Cora announces with a crooked smile. She eyes Ignacio. She's got silver handcuffs and her skin sizzles every time she shifts. Irene frowns and glances at Ignacio. "A beard? For wha--" Her eyes widen. "Oh, Iggy..." "Missing the forest for the trees," Velia sighs softly under her breath as she brushes lint away with a spider leg. Ignacio crosses his arms and glares through the floor now. "It was just an idea, all right? I thought that maybe... It'd be enough." He trails off. My lip curls when he looks at Cora. "You, uh. You think it'd work?" His voice is softer now.
Poe snorts and lifts her head before her roommate can answer him. Her bat ears flick away a fly and she blinks sleepily around the circle. "Huh? Sorry, what're we talkin' about...?" "Whether or not Iggs looks like Rosa's pedo brother with a beard." "That isn't what I was--" Ignacio huffs. Then he narrows his eyes and looks at Cora. "Did you just call me 'Iggs'?" Poe quirks her mouth to one side. Then nods unsteadily. "Mmmm... It might be enough." Ignacio forgets his indignation and perks up. "Really?" "Unless you're planning on being able to braid the damn thing, a beard isn't going to cut it," Elu adds with an eye roll. Velia taps her chin. "Perhaps with a mustache?" Bruno snorts. "Can he even pull it off?" I hug Bruno's arm and caress his thigh. He's such a good boy. "Mustaches are out of style," Cora says with a shake of her head. Irene fidgets. "A-Are they?" Her eyes dart to Ignacio. "I don't mind them..." she says under her breath. I barely catch it. My heart kicks a little, and my eyes shift from Irene to Ignacio. Ishtar. Sometimes I wish stuff like this wasn't so obvious to me. It'd be obvious to any vellicubi with eyes, really. But maybe I could use this later in our growing little war over Rosa's affection. This is completely stupid, of course. I'm a succubus with a hunger handicap. I couldn't be monogamous even if I tried. But if Rosa looking at Irene's tits and being transported to some
protozoic-Big/little fantasy doesn't threaten me, the way she looks at Iggy, this hot-headed jock... and the way he looks back... I could eat the guy. And I mean eat him. Whole. "I can make it work," Ignacio says with a look of resolve. "I'm growing a beard. With a mustache." I grimace and look down at Bruno's lap. I don't like Iggy, but... I can't fault him. If I looked like my crush's sexual abuser, I'd wanna grow a lame mustache too. "Does Rosa even like mustaches?" Irene asks awkwardly. Still. I can't help myself. Ignacio lets out an exhale, like he just set down some great burden. "Yeah." I examine my claws at arms length. They need a trim. "They remind her of her dad," I add with a cruel smirk. Ignacio drops his head in his hands and Irene pats his back gingerly as the others just laugh. What can I say? I'm a demon, after all.

Poe the red heeler mix dog sleeping on the armrest of the couch.

Rare day when I've got the house to myself until evening. Got a list of tasks to do that are a lot easier when a five year out isn't buzzing around, but after that it's TTRPGs and playoff baseball with a couple cold and bitter IPAs.

Forget hypothetical aliens. By the fifth day into their time in the alien towers dimension, as Byron started calling it in his head, he had his hands full just trying to manage his brothers. Tennyson was getting moodier and moodier, sometimes refusing to get out of his sleeping bag in the morning and not doing anything during the day except sitting outside to stare at the clouds and listen to the thunder. No matter how many times Byron asked Tennyson to do something, trying to keep his mind off things, Tennyson ignored him and sank into apathy instead. He only seemed to emerge from his funks to snipe at Poe about how long it was taking to fix the END. Byron was pretty sure he was just scared and not willing to admit it, but his mean comments and listlessness were getting solidly on his nerves.

Genuine question: Can somebody tell me what the heck part of Bluesky this person is talking about? Because my experience here is, well, what I said in the picture. And you all can see I don't *follow* any anti-Dem people, so *that's* not what's causing my experience.
