Backing this up: the @altnps.bsky.social account is BlueAnon Hashtag Resistance grift.

Almost 800,000 people on here are following a totally-not-real account claiming it's a group of rogue park workers and who are now posting cryptic nonsense to make it seem like they're sending messages to the deep state. Also they're selling resistance merch. WTF are we doing man?

It’s stan culture for politics, which is gross and harmful. You don’t know how to demand better from your elected officials if you’re parasocially attached to them.

See thread below. Also, her entire feed on Threads is just reposting news and adding a few words of outrage, so she doesn’t actually DO anything but makes her thousands of followers FEEL like they’re doing something, which makes people complacent. They also rarely criticize Dem leadership.

Worse, it reduces mass deportation to a problem for capitalism. Instead of neighbors, friends and family members we are talking about the price of cereal. Some liberal/resist types go so far it’s blatantly racist w/stereotypes about needing immigrants to cut the grass and clean the toilets.

Did the Trump baby balloon accomplish anything? Did a million tweets about his tiny hands do anything? “Resist” nonsense is people feeling like they’re accomplishing something by posting, nothing more. And this tweet isn’t about you, it’s about me not wanting those people to follow me.

Yet another plea to people who are using or following people off follow-farming hashtags like #NoDemUnder1K, #NoDemUnder5K, #BlueCrew, #FBR, etc etc: please do not do that, it's how disinformation operations work. I'm already seeing accounts in those hashtags that are likely disinformation ops. 1/

I would say adopting the name of a person or government agency in any way to promote your takes is a good one. Also blatant engagement bait like, "Follow memif you believe in justice!" From there is a short ride to bad, fake info like Mueller or the "marshal of SCOTUS" is about to make an arrest.

I confess that sometimes I have a hard time distinguishing the “resistance grifters” from the good guys… what’s their tell?

One of fascism's main tactics is to physically and mentally exhaust you. To flood the zone with outrageous bullshit, to make you bite on a dozen pump-fakes — so that when the real shot comes, you're too worn out to react. We need to pace ourselves. It's only been a week. Alert fatigue is dangerous
