It's worse than this, because the stock market keeps *predicting* that T will pivot, and that resilience emboldens him to persist. The stock market being resilient will not save the economy, so it just deepens the recession. When the market catches up to reality, perhaps T will pivot. Way too late.

the layoffs seemed like they mostly targeted supernatural (a VR workout app — which is actually good — that meta aquired after a lengthy antitrust trial) but still, the whole “reality labs” division at meta loses billions and billions of dollars every year and no one wants VR social media ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
