I've long maintained that job application sites are generally some of the most dogshit, nonfunctional pieces of the internet because the people applying won't complain about it to the people who post the jobs because the applicants, uh, want a job. They genuinely never hear about how annoying it is.

Here in Nevada, corporations, media and state officials are all going with āoh, itās too expensiveā to explain massive declines. Vegas was too expensive (by historic standards) in 2023 and 2024, and overall inflation was worse. Tourism was booming then. Itās the immigration policy, stupid
i would be curious to know how many of the people on this site who think using X is unforgivable also use Facebook and/or Instagram; and if so how they would justify or rationalize their choices as obviously different/better than those made by people who choose to stay on X.
Thereās a lot we can learn from Alysa Liu. She challenges the idea that pursuing greatness requires constant self-pressure, self-analysis, & self-sacrifice. I struggle with this myself. Seeing her win gold by being present and joyful after taking a break was paradigm shifting.

A wild thing about this particular moment is seeing right-wing figures like Carlson bring up theological criticisms of (some) religious claims about Israel that were long most commonly heard (in the U.S.) in *liberal* religious circles ā but then *also* sprinkling in right-wing arguments as well.
