Every state where mothers die most has banned or restricted abortion. That is no coincidence. The bans are driving OB-GYNs out and forcing doctors to delay care during miscarriages. The CDC says over 80% of these deaths are preventable. Republicans call this pro life
Oklahoma has the worst heart disease death rate in America, and its own hospitals say Trumpโs Medicaid cuts are a threat they cannot survive. When the nearest ER closes, and minutes matter, a heart attack becomes a death sentence. The rural fund Trump offered? A drop in the bucket. A joke.
They call it Make America Healthy Again, then cut the care that keeps people alive. The states with the worst diabetes are in the red South, led by the reddest and whitest state West Virginia at nearly 1 in 5 adults. Now Trump has cut a trillion dollars from Medicaid and gutted food aid.
Dead Internet: our entire system-culture, economy, politics is a pyramid of lies. from aipac to grokipedia, bibi/putin to murdoch. fewer humans read or grasp the centuries-long fight against authoritarian rule built on religion. weโre not in the 1930s..we are back in the 1780s๐บ๐ธ Hart28.com
So much for law and order. The states that lock up the most people are in the red South, led by Louisiana at 1,067 per 100,000. The land of the free imprisons more people per capita than any nation on earth. No focus on reform or rehabilitation just imprisonment.
The hungriest states in America are almost all Republican-run, led by Arkansas at nearly 1 in 5 households. So what did Trump do? He signed the biggest cut to food stamps in history, 186 billion dollars, and 3.5 million people have already lost benefits.
July 14, 1789: Parisian revolutionaries and mutinous troops storm and dismantle the Bastille, a royal fortress and prison that had come to symbolize the tyranny of the Bourbon monarchs, on July 14, 1789. This dramatic action signaled the beginning of the French Revolution. #DelaneyHall #NWIPC

The Paradox of Tolerance, how the Veterans Against Fascism march was materially and structurally different from the literal performative Patriot Front march, and how we build momentum and community going forward. To that end, we are joined by Zue Jernstedt with About Face. @vetsaboutface.bsky.social
The Founding Fathers spoke about liberty, freedom, and justice, while Indigenous nations were slaughtered and displaced, and African people were being lynched and held as slaves. This contradiction is not a footnote in Americaโs history; it is the foundation upon which the United States was built.
Thank you so much @angegen.bsky.social for the base ten pop-itโs and tonal paper! My students will be so exited to make self portraits to hang up in our classroom. They will also enjoying using the pop-itโs for math. Your kindness and generosity is truly appreciated ๐๐ฅน
Washington has the shortest memory in America. One party spent years saying, โBelieve women.โ The other spent years saying, โItโs all a political hit job.โ Now the names have changed, the jerseys have changed, and wouldnโt you know it the scripts have changed too.
Republicans banned abortion in the name of life, and infant deaths went up. A JAMA study tied the bans to 478 excess infant deaths. Mississippi has the highest infant mortality in the nation at 8.9 per 1,000, far above the 5.6 average. Pro life?
