While anti-trans activists, who will screenshot this with and name my employer, had to literally "imagine" ways I hurt trans patients, the Dem autopsy showed the anti-trans panic and "Kamala is for they/them" ads were very effective in electing Trump. No need to imagine anything.

The week @nationalobserver.com broke news about a Trump-linked US company hosting Albertans' electoral data, our site started suffering from massive outages. Our provider tells us their servers are under attack. We don't know if we're the target, but the timing is weird. Thanks for bearing with us!

I booked a (very good deal) hotel via Trivago. Real commercials, legit site, but upon clicking book, I didn't really notice it took me to a 3rd party site "Algotels", where I put in credit card. Only after I read reviews that say it's scammy. Slight uncanniness in the booking process, but seems ok.

Five years ago this week, radar technology located the remains of 215 former residential students. Now, the country is still trying to understand what it is they found among the apple trees. We set out to learn what has happened since as uncertainty gives rise to doubt and denialism.
Yupโin my new @bmj.com article, I discuss the many examples of how Trump & RFK Jr are essentially holding vulnerable people to ransom Unless countries give in to Americaโs extractive demands (eg for minerals or access to sensitive health data), financing for life saving medicines will be cut off ๐ข
๐จ Trump & RFK Jr have a new & extremely inhumane approach to global health: holding vulnerable people to ransom ๐ My latest article in @bmj.com examines how the Trump administration is withholding life-saving health aid from countries & from Gavi to extract concessions www.bmj.com/content/393/...
So a 41 year old race car driver suddenly dropped dead after struggling with a โsinus coldโ that became severe and put him in the hospital for three days. I wonder what kind of a sinus cold could cause the kind of sudden death typically associated with a blood clot or heart attack.
Got the official word of acceptance of our paper from Publius, the top journal in the world for the study of federalism. Was great collaborating with the amazing @minhdo.bsky.social on "Treaty Federalism, Legislative Reconciliation, and Informal Constitutional Change in Canada" 1/n
Ebola was caught too late in DRC. Blame greed & corruption for the neglect of Congolese citizens; blame the US for cuts to aid; blame a chronic lack of funds for healthcare. Also: The WHO has definitely gotten faster, at least in early days. My timeline of W Africa outbrk: nautil.us/how-slow-res...

You are not allowed to go into Canadiansโ houses and rummage through their belongings for evidence of a crime they may one day commit so why in godโs name does the government think they can rummage around in our digital devices to do the same? #KillBillC22
In the 1950s, autism was widely misunderstood, and mothers were wrongly blamed for causing it. On an upcoming episode of (MIS)Treated, @namshine.bsky.social speaks with Julie M. Green, author of "Motherness," about that history and her diagnosis at 44. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/m...
Hey check out the @torontoarchives.cityof.toronto.ca exhibit called Subseries 58: Department of Public Works, Roadway photographs. Far more fun than (good) title suggests, 100s of photos from their far larger collection of historic photographs of Toronto streets. Took a UofT class yesterday.
