I began attending al-anon meetings because of recognizing my codependency with my alcoholic friend. "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves." I'm giving thought to that.

stevijoe.bsky.socialWorst is, I had missed a lot of classes in a rhetoric class and I saw my stern old teacher on the street and I was trying to duck her. Two problems. She died in the 1990s. She didn't teach rhetoric. She taught history classes. Otto Korrekt changed stern to sternum, which made no sense.

stevijoe.bsky.socialIn 1995, just before Charlotte and I married, we bought a bread making machine. We just threw it in the car and drove to Illinois for me to meet her friends. We unpacked it 10 pm, read instructions until when, and made really good bread. The baking aroma woke everyone up. Great fun.
