Do y'all know anyone can subscribe to the Blacksky moderation labeler? When someone pops into your mentions who is a racist a-hole, you're pre-warned he's not worth your time. See: "Antiblack Harassment"? Gtk, right? The labeling is manual by humans. I've never seen that labeler make a mistake!
[big inhale] This is too much to ask; I realize. But would it be possible for people NOT to respond to reports of political shootings with grand predictions? Like rushing to be the first to declare there is a civil war? There'll be plenty of time for analysis later. Maybe hold the jokes too?

In #Gaza the starving gather in militarized zones for food that might not arrive. Internet is down, info cut. People are shot or shelled by Israeli forces daily. Fuel is almost out. Dead & injured are hand carried to hospitals that are choked off by expanding displacement orders. - Jonathan Whittal
Obviously the cops can instigate violence at any protest and everyone should remain cautious, but if you just want to go to a big protest like the ones in most cities today and stand on the outskirts and observe and add your body to the numbers you can and should and you will be fine.
Back of the envelope, only 0.4% of Americans have gone to Trump rallies. J6 only involved ~10k chuds and that was with free bus rides to the Capitol. Obviously sucks that Trump won a plurality in '24, but it's easy to overestimate the breadth and depth of his support.

Seeing a lot of talk about people donating to bail funds for these bad-ass veterans. DC has no bail. Most likely, these veterans did a post and forfeit, meaning they were processed on site, had to pay a small fine, usually $50-$75, then released. If anyone has heard differently, let me know?
“It says that many of them were successors to Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the "father of the Iranian nuclear project," who was allegedly assassinated by 🇮🇱 in 2020. -says dozens of intel researchers "worked on a secret project aimed at tracking key nuclear scientists in 🇮🇷 over the course o/several yrs."
wild that there's no PAC or small consultancy that just constantly hammers Republicans on harboring and promoting pedocons; unironically it's probably the highest leverage investment a liberal aligned donor could make and Republicans would hate it www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
Spent yesterday evening doing kitten transport for a local rescue group. These guys were dropped off at a busy shelter and luckily, a foster was able to take them in. The kittens need socialization, which the foster will be able to give them, and were very grumpy and hissy.
“At noon on one day coming Human strength will fill the streets Of every city on our planet Hear the sound of angry feet With business freezed up in the harbor The kings will pull upon their hair” #NoKingsDay #ItWontTakeLong @ferronferron.bsky.social youtu.be/GVXq76emXDk?...

This is going to irritate the fuck out of me for how good it’s going to be. I sort of memory holed the last workshops of my degree so I looked up my notes from John. I wish I’d taken more workshops with him, but nonfic was never a really serious pursuit.
