You guys, Iβve decided to travel around the country as a mystery-solving brute like Jack Reacher. Iβll need some of you to do the fighting and intimidating and investigating and wearing old dirty clothes. I will handle the reading comics and drinking tea portion of our missions, Reacher-style.
I actually don't like Scott being written as a jerk. I kid about him a lot but I like him as the stand-up guy. People paying attention will note that Scott was in the right in his arguments with Rogue in our early issues, almost exclusively. It was a family squabble, not 'Cyclops sucks.'
"Why does he write so much Spider-Man?" Because I love Spidey. It's that simple. He's my favorite character in all of fiction. (Suck it, Hamlet.) If YOU could make a living writing your favorite character, why WOULDN'T you? My 1st time writing Spidey. New Warriors Annual #1, 1991. 35 years ago.

Greatest writing advice ever is in Hemingway's A Moveable Feast -- abt never leaving your writing at "a good stopping place." Always leave it in a terrible stopping place - mid-sentence even. Makes it way easier to start again. But why do I always forget this advice when I'm struggling? Sigh.
The X-writers all say I have an iron hide because I genuinely believe people are entitled to hating a book and speaking about it. Sometimes you go, wtf? But it doesn't linger on my soul or anything of that nature. People buy a book, they get to say what they thought. :)
The new book, Star Pilots by @chriskempshall.bsky.social is a celebration of all things pilots, both Rebel and Imperial, covering several eras of the Star Wars universe. It's full of information and heart, and I loved every page. Check out my review here: youtu.be/adxZ6VMUPz0?...
I think adding Miracleman to the Marvel Universe could easily go very wrong, but could be interesting, and I'd only really have two thoughts, one obvious, the other...I dunno. First, if they're bringing him into the Marvel Universe, call him Marvelman. Second, if you're doing that...
I'm always a little bemused by white men who believe they can abuse a member of the library staff in racist & sexist terms and not have it affect the service they get at the library going forward. I know the concept of consequences is an alien one to large numbers of white men, but still.
I'm not saying I *need* banana stickers to successfully navigate life, but I just deep cleaned the half-bathroom at 4:00 AM so I can check off that box on my habit tracker spreadsheet, so I won't break my streak of π₯³ emojis as a daily "You completed over 80% of your tasks!" reward.
If you long for a story about a youth (10 to 13 year old) in a school setting that includes magic and sorcery, but don't want to support someone using their vast wealth to try and eradicate trans people, this (and the source novels) could be for you! Bonus sword fighting!
