Friends, we feel shredded. We’re reeling from the uncertainty of being fired & rehired, struggling with the dismantling of ACIP — decades of trust gone in a tweet. It’s all so wrong. But we’re still here. Good night. We’re looking forward to our show of strength. Together. Tomorrow. Goodnight! 💚✊
📢 Protest Advice - Tear Gas 🪧 If you are protesting tomorrow - this video has great advice for preparing for and responding to tear gas. No makeup, contacts, etc. If you live near a protest site - consider placing buckets of clean water outside your home so protestors have easy access. 🪣
🚨🚨🚨 I’ve recently learned that several federal law enforcement agencies are soliciting for volunteers from inside to be cross-trained in riot control and to also serve as protective officers for federal facilities. This isn’t new, per se. The federal government has done this before… 1/
Subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP): Why do SMEs matter? RFKJoker claims vaccine SMEs are corrupt because they're vaccine experts in bed with Big Pharma (most aren't) But the truth is, we need SMEs on ACIP And we need SMEs presenting to ACIP
With tomorrow being #NoKingsDay, we have a unique opportunity to piss the other side off, to protect yourself and those around you. Wearing a mask at the marches and events does this. The bonus bonus affect is that it will also help mitigate the fall Covid boom! How the fuck about that?!?!
“We want to highlight the stories of Black prisoners that participated in this prison research in the 1950s onward and give them their due…they haven’t been properly acknowledged” That’s good, but also worth noting that the Nazis approvingly referenced this research at the Nuremberg Trials.
I had to listen to a 40-something y/o person complain about how their dad kicked them out of the house and now they’re on their own. Then was asked, “am I being irrational?” Me: Yes. I was barely out of high school when my dad died. His last lesson: you’re on your own kid, don’t fuck it up!
“We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate this city from the socialist and burdensome leadership that this Governor Newsom and this mayor placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into this city,'' Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. "We were here first." #AltGov
Here’s the problem w/ every LEO in the U.S. that feels this way: YOU’VE FORGOTTEN YOUR 1ST DUTY: Serving & protecting US. The PEOPLE. YOU’VE FORGOTTEN YOUR 2ND DUTY: Ensuring our rights are & remain intact. Why are you on such a fucking power trip? You’ve been headed this way for 30 years, WHY???
📢 #AltGov Announcement Joining us on #NoKingsDay we are proud to welcome @altniosh.bsky.social to Altgov! These exceptionally qualified scientists & stewards of public health have stepped up to keep the facts flowing. If you are unfamiliar with NIOSH, visit here before it's deleted by 🧠🐛.
This is 100% correct. Criticize replicability of business-school psychology all you want. Work on rigor and reproducibility. But be clear that many sorts of science are strong and replicable, and the right has been using “reproducibility crisis” as a lever to attack all of us.
The SkillBridge program is a DoD initiative that allows active-duty service members to gain civilian work experience during their last 180 days of service. It connects service members with private & public sector org internships, apprenticeships, or other industry-sponsored work experiences. -- BUT
ENSO-neutral conditions are expected to continue through summer. While the odds of La Niña increase through the fall, the odds of neutral conditions continuing slightly outweigh those of La Niña. Find out what ENSO-neutral means for seasonal prediction? www.climate.gov/news-feature...
Do you have or are you going to submit a FoIA to the FDA and expect it to be answered in a timely manor? Welllllll you’re fucked. All FoIA from all centers is being detailed to office of commissioner effective SUNDAY, as part of the centralization plan. That takes congressional approval to do.
Probably the best outcome to all of this is for the regime in Iran to be replaced by a Government that respected the rights of its citizens and got along with the West and the Gulf States. Then again, if there was no reason for war in Middle East it might be kind of a boring planet to live on.
Israel has a Space Agency, and they’ve been launching indigenous reconnaissance satellites since the late 80s. This gives them an extreme upper hand against Iran. Every time Iran launches a missile, or even moves a missile launcher, Israel learns of its position. Iran’s air defense is already gone.
The out of focus pixel from this live shot (AP) is a plane flying near Tel Aviv, but there’s of course nothing pinging a transponder. I believe this is likely Israel’s strategic C3 plane (Command, Control and Comms) otherwise called a “Doomsday Plane”. It can deploy strategic weapons, if needed.
Iran has an estimated 2000 ballistic missiles, they fired about 150 today in three rounds (I think two made it to ground). If they continue at this rate, they’ll deplete their missile capabilities in less than 2-weeks. Faster if Israel destroys more missiles and/or launchers.
I used to like saying “Even a stopped clock…” but that was in the before times when I merely disagreed with a president. I will not do that anymore. I will not give credit to that man or his loyal subjects for ANYTHING good because they are fascists who are LITERALLY destroying the country.
I don’t understand recording artists who make a big deal about their “dance moves”. The older I get, the more stupid it seems. If Angus Young’s best talent was his duck walk, I never would have bought his music. But at least he didn’t act like he had invented some amazing new “move”. Rant over.
My opinion: Iran should tell the USA is not interested at this time in resuming the nuclear talks. Realistically, their nuke program was just set back 30 years anyway. And, they should refrain from attacking anything with a US Flag attached to it. That would be the end of the clerics.
IAEA says the above ground portion of Natanz plant is destroyed. Electricity to underground facility is out and centrifuges likely damaged. There’s radiological contamination inside facility. Outside levels normal. That’s about IDF’s extent of capability. Iran would be wise to not drag US into it.
I think Iran would be smartest to raise a white flag and call Israel to the table immediately and then make good on whatever was demanded of them. They’re not built for this. They put all their cards into their proxy plan. Hezbollah isn’t there… there’s no attack from Lebanon. They should fold.
There was a group of fighters early in Afghanistan that we were looking at from 1/4 mile. Contact on VHF, said surrender and they’d be given treatment per Conventions. They decided to shoot at us. We dropped a JDAM on them. Fight was over. They never had a chance. Iran needs to raise a white flag.
Israel’s strike in Iran appeared more calculated compared to its operations in Gaza, with primary targets being military—though some residential structures were reportedly damaged. In contrast, Iran’s response came across as more haphazard, involving missile launches with lack of clear targeting.
My opinion: Iran should tell the USA is not interested at this time in resuming the nuclear talks. Realistically, their nuke program was just set back 30 years anyway. And, they should refrain from attacking anything with a US Flag attached to it. The hat would be the end of the cleric.
