- Opening another popover on the page dismisses the first one.
- Easily provide fallback positions with pure CSS
- Conditionally hide the anchor-positioned element

Just wrote about a new pattern that I discovered using the Popover API, Anchor Positioning and Turbo Frames.
You can now lazy load popover elements on a page and anchor them to the trigger element, all without a single line of custom JavaScript!

Safari has a feature now if you click on the icon circled you can select “hide distracting item” and it will disable the JavaScript for an ad when you select it. Also works for circumventing some paywalls.

one of these days i WILL learn how to self host a bot so i can include if-then statements outside the tracery (works fine in javascript)
