About 7 episodes in now. The production value is good. Props, costumes, big cast (maybe a smidge too big), and I can see some good DNA in it that would show up in the modern re-make. But the writing is genuinely trash. Loads of melodrama, no consistent tone, wildly inconsistent power-scaling.
