In a major win for trans people in the country, liberals win in Canada. There was serious concern that a Pierre Polievre victory would have resulted in the same dramatic crackdowns on trans people there that we have seen in the US.

This would match what Trump did to Stonewall National Monument.

My take on "Protect The Dolls" is that the shirts support a suicide hotline and yeah maybe it's performative for most but it also gives trans rights a unique cultural cache that's basically impossible to replicate intentionally so I am for the t-shirt tysm

I’m a trans man. If my football team followed the EHRC guidance for our match today, I would have had to change in a separate room and use a separate toilet.
Ultimately, I imagine the EHRC would like to ban me from playing on the same team as cis men.

Am starting to think widespread civil disobedience is the most effective way to tackle Labour's policy of punishment beatings for trans people to please right wing bigots.

trans people are an incredibly small minority that is also disenfranchised politically and economically and is too scattered to be a local majority anywhere so we hold no influence. i am therefore calling for a moratorium on any cis people trying to convince any trans people of literally anything

I know this seems small, but a non-black politician even being willing to name black people in this political climate is surprising. A cis candidate willing to name trans people is big too. Because when fascist politicians encounter pushback, they do not stop, but dial their actions back.

EHRC announces trans toilet issue ‘solved’.
A spokesperson for the Commission, Falcon Kisser said: ‘We have arranged for an accessible toilet to be placed on top of a Welsh mountain for trans use. Only 8 hours trek from the nearest hand basin. All UK trans people should only use this facility.’

When I say people don’t wanna listen to trans people unless we’re talking about pain or cis people who harm us - this is what I mean. Literally one vid on JK Rowling does almost 5 times my next highest performing videos of me getting to be a nerd. I get reviews are a dime a dozen but still sucks.
