Someone at Delta finally fixed the CSS stylesheet on the late bag claim to be mobile friendly. It’s like it’s 2012 or something but I’m not even mad because I don’t have to use the 2007-esque form anymore.

Both area true! Also a ton more prior art. Tooling around native app ecosystems is relatively immature (for instance, I get asked "Is there a @storybook.js.org for native development?" all the time)

Want gradient text? Confused about whether you still need a prefix for `background-clip: text`? Do you still need to use `-webkit-text-fill-color` or you can use it unprefixed or just use `color`? All answers here www.reddit.com/r/css/commen... complete with demos + animation + gradient glow. #CSS

You know that racist white lady who has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars after calling a 5 year old boy the n word? She's using a Christian fundraising platform that's fine with her racism. That didn't sit right with Kiendria a web developer. /1

I just updated `react-server-dom-vite` PR with css import support github.com/facebook/rea.... I'm not sure if this is a right direction, but this seems to nicely handle css code split at each client reference level and it might potentially work as "framework-less" abstraction for Vite RSC.

feat: add react-server-dom-vite by hi-ogawa · Pull Request #33152 · facebook/react

Summary As a continuation from the discussion on Jacob's PR #31768, this is a new PR to add the react-server-dom-vite package and fixtures/flight-vite. To begin with, thank you to the React tea...

The day after: #SvelteSummit was a blast. Meeting all the people from the global Svelte community in person wasn’t just a pleasure - it was a real honour. Huge kudos to @kevinak.se! I took some notes about a few observations I made during many many chats and I’ll write them down tomorrow.
Photo of Rich Harris introducing the Pull Request for the new async API / pattern proposal.
The slide says:

# install from the PR
pnpm add https://pkg.pr.new/svelte@15844
# edit svelte.config.js
export default {
  compilerOptions: {
    experimental: {
      async: true
    }
…
}
Photo of the Svelte core maintainers on the stage sitting next together during the fireside chat.

We're time traveling back to 1997 today, when WISYWIG editors were all the rage. In the decades since, web technology has clawed its way from that primitive state with semantic HTML that made accessibility possible and let content drive appearance rather than vice-versa. Then Figma blew it all up.

The dream of being able to generate working websites will remain out of reach until UX redefines its practice around semantic structure rather than layouts.

Someone just hearted this demo I made on @codepen.io back in 2018 and I noticed it still said it only works in Blink browsers. codepen.io/thebabydino/... Not anymore! As of the summer of '24, Firefox also supports registering & animating custom properties! So this is now cross-browser! 🎉🥳 #CSS #3D

Per Cloudflare’s internal stats: Google (historically) refers one visitor for every two pages crawled. OpenAI/ChatGPT refers one visitor for every 250 pages crawled. Anthropic/Claude refers only one visitor for every 6,000 pages crawled!

Accessibility isn't making everyone in a building carry every wheelchair user up 6 flights of stairs, it's installing a lift. Making everyone do alt text makes sense for web development, but not for social media posting. Implement tooling instead imo.

Day 10 of #30DaysOfImageGPT 🧩🔧 Refactored the #RenderTogether playground into fully modular sections today. Prompt input, style selector, image grid, and slide-over — now all cleanly separated and easy to extend. Feels good to build on solid foundations. #buildinpublic #GPT4o #webdev #AItools

It’s not useless (counterexample: @cnn.com) but it is not sufficient, hence why Bluesky is adding a direct verification system as well. And as for @cloudfare.social, either it is an imposter account, or Cloudflare have chosen a really dumb domain handle.
