Posted this on FB and got the expected response:

A conversation in the comments under a Facebook post by Ruby Soho, who is here using the name Emily:

Me:

This won't offend the kind, safe and handsome men/masc folks who I choose to surround myself with. Thanks for being you ❤️

Other bro:

Sad but true. As a male we need tk be hyper aware.
Just because we may have good intentions we don’t know how they come across, we have no idea what trauma, or life experiences we are being viewed through.
So no matter our feelings, the recipient is the one who controls the access. And if they pull back.. we need to respect boundaries verbalized or implied

Bro:

That's not just a response to any criticism of male behavior. Must have been a half a decade ago when y'all decided as a group y'all didn't want men approaching y'all whatsoever for any reason.. I'm just respecting the wishes of the majority of women

Part two of Facebook conversation:

Me: oh yeah, I remember that every-single-woman meeting, that was a good one.

Bro:

I specifically said a majority. I would never use 100% to back any measurement. There are always exceptions. I am respecting the wishes of what seemed to be most women even though there have been many women I've approached and spoken with who were fine with it. There was zero reason for you to be a rude, sarcastic, snidy smartass towards me for explaining the reasoning for why I just never speak to women I don't know anymore. Please go fuck yourself

Me: something about this post made you unreasonably angry. That's on you to figure out. Work on your issues with women, and 'kindly' stay away from us until you do. ✌️

If your response to any criticism of male behavior is along the lines of 'guess I'll never approach another woman again, then' GOOD. If you cannot approach us safely and respectfully, *we don't want you*
