The times it happened to my kids, I contacted the teacher. But I approached it as "hey, I was helping [kid] with the homework, but I can't figure out why this is wrong, here's what I'm doing." Which was really good the one time when I was also wrong, and worked all but one of the other times.

They say "this injunction only covers agencies before the court," you can litigate the compliance question. But litigating against dumb arguments is really hard and sucks a lot. And if you individually name every agency and put them before the court, you don't have to.

In litigation, when you have a clear and simple path that removes an issue entirely from consideration, you usually take it.

Yeah, that was my go-to for the last decade, but this one popped all the breakers.

I'm sorry, but no. If you do not understand that the Democratic party also has significant racism problems, you've spent the last 16 years in an outright coma, and paid little attention before that.

Addendum: @chrisgeidner.bsky.social, who has been following this one, informs me that the judge getting mad at DOJ for the messing around came before this filing. But I'm going to mark that down as a pterrypractettean "the effect coming a little bit before the cause" scenario.
