Bike bus pilot project launching in Charlottetown
Starting May 8, some P.E.I. students from West Kent and L.M. Montgomery Elementary Schools will participate in a weekly bike bus program.

I have a Dutch style ebike which largely addresses the weight issue (so long as you make sure it's charged!) but currently a lot of cycle routes in the UK use off-road gravel paths. The Dutch bike isn't terrible on the gravel but my hybrid definitely feels more stable.

Having owned two Dutch bikes now I love the upright position. You can see around you better and it's much better for your back!
Dutch bike shop was an awful loss.

About a decade ago, at the height of my bicycle fever, I probably had a dozen or so. I built this one up from a Schwinn Traveller frame that someone tried to repaint with house paint.

I moved away from Manchester in 2013, and sadly stopped cycling for most of ten years.
I did try commuting again in Staffordshire, but having lost all that fitness, coping with the faster traffic w/o dedicated infra on a heavy bike was horrible.

Here's the problem with not having safe bike lanes on every street: If I need to get somewhere via bike, and I live on a street without a bike lane, how do I get to the streets with the bike lanes? I have to either cycle on the sidewalk or in the car lane (1 ) Cont'd....

It's been very quiet around the Port of Oakland for 2 weeks now. Great for my old man bike club rides. Usually, there are long lines of diesel trucks loading up products to take to red states. Not anymore. We can hear the birds in the trees and the air is clean.

I would love to have radar on my bike. It would be very cool to know how close I am when estimating driver speed.

2) The hostels and hotels were generally better: Sevilla Santa Justa hostel was barebones, but sleek and new, with a huge shower in our bathroom, and a staff that worked overtime to help us all out on the day of the national power outage in Spain.

My rule is that if my 69 year old mother doesn't feel comfortable riding her e-bike on your infrastructure, it's trash.

There is a reason why so many bikes sold are sports bikes relative to practical?comfortable bikes.
It is very easy to blame the cycling industry for this and ignore the other factors.
Cycle racing is almost the only positive media exposure cycling gets.

Another small local petrol station (with a car repair shop) in my town (re-)started selling bikes and doing bike repair.
