Still makes me mad how badly Victoria Public Market was bungled by a management team clearly too stupid to visit Vancouver & Seattle to see why their public markets are sooooooooo glorious. Shopping in Gran Island made me deeply homesick. I used to love cycling there after work on Friday.

I would argue modal filters should be used to disincentivise car volumes, not half signals. Vancouver uses both, so that generally you can only turn right as a car at a half signal. If you aren't disincentivising drivers from using the bike street in other ways I agree

Pumped a bit more air into my bicycle’s back tire and managed to make the trip home from work a full five minutes faster than Monday’s time. 45:32 today. (Note, it takes me 35-40min to DRIVE home from work on a good day.) #BikeYVR
