Page 1 of a 4 page comic: 2 individuals, a detective and his companion, are investigating a warehouse and have appeared to have arrived at a dead end. The detective worriedly gets lost in his thoughts, whilst his partner yells to get his attention, attributing their false lead to bad luck that he's accumulated since the day began.
Page 2 of a 4 page comic: The companion continues to list off more instances of bad luck since that morning, which the detective continues to protest until he reaches a boiling point and lashes out at the absurdity of "bad luck" affecting the results of their case.
Page 3 of a 4 page comic: The black suited partner pulls back, showing concern for the detective as his warnings seem to be falling on deaf ears. Immediately they're struck with a disturbing psychic feeling that unsettles them, but also gives them the forewarning that something dangerous is about to befall the unsuspecting detective.
Page 4 of a 4 page comic: The detective, having removed a loose wooden plank from the wall, reveals a bundle of dynamite with a timer set to go off in 2 seconds. He freezes in shock as it is about to detonate, but his partner, who reacted with haste, pushes him out of the way of the explosion, the force of which blows off his hat. They turn and stare at the aftermath of the explosion from the floor, of which a portion of the warehouse has been set ablaze. After a moment, the partner punches the detective in the shoulder and mutters "Tch, Friggin' told you" in an incredibly irritated manner.

Looking for old BG artwork to post bc I'm in a BG mood and it's funny how many times I rotated 13's "ball" bc I couldn't settle on how I wanted the stripe to sit on his face or if I wanted it to be constantly in motion and then I settled for the most boring but stable variant
