太平洋クロマグロの国際的な資源管理を話し合う国際会議が14日、長崎市で閉幕した。日本沿岸では「とれすぎ」と言えるほど資源量の回復が進み、日本は漁獲枠拡大へ交渉してきたが、太平洋東部の増枠を主張したメキシコと折り合えず合意できなかった。クロマグロ漁獲枠 太平洋のクロマグロは過去の日本の乱獲などで数が激減した。クロマグロは回遊魚で広い海域を移動するため、国際的な漁獲規制が必要になる。日本の漁業に影響が大きい中西部太平洋では、日本や韓国、台湾、米国などが参加する国際機関で漁獲上限を決め、資源を保護している。規制強化で資源は回復傾向にある。24年の会議では資源状況を反映して、大型・小型ともに25年以降の漁獲枠を広げた。
