Chapter 13: Wrapping Up the Spring Term #TheSims4
Beren, Liberty, Ned and Julia chat after having had their presentations at the end of the term. Liberty points at herself as she tells the others that she's been thinking about applying to the Space Ranger Programme.
At Bot Savants' annual meeting. Erwin tells the others that he and Julia are leaving Bot Savants.
Beren tells Jayden that he can't stand Cameron's jokes.

Today is 3 years since I started to post The Brights! 🎉 It's been an interesting year, with Melon crushing on Beren, Beren crushing on Ahriman, Ahriman having a bit of an existential crisis, Andrew and Louise taking up contact and Beren realising that he sees Melon as family 😊

What do you think of my casting for my Sims version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Nancy Landgraab as Ms Prosser Bob Pancakes as Arthur Dent Mortimer Goth as Ford Prefect Ceres and Atom Beaker as Zaphod Beeblebrox Aliya Fuego as Trillian Bill Berry (one of my OCs) as Marvin

My four favourite moments from my story the Brights In no particular order - When Beren built Melon (originally blue, as seen here, now red) - Everything around Melon crushing on Beren - The fall of the Magic Realm - Everything around Beren crushing on Ahriman (still sad about the outcome though 🥲)
From chapter 14. Melon, a blue simoid bot built by Beren, has just been activated. Melon looks at their hand and moves their fingers. Beren holds his hands over his mouth, he looks like he can't believe his eyes and like he could cry out of happiness.
From chapter 26. Melon, now with a red chassis colour instead of their original blue, is dramatically lying on their back on the floor in Eve's hallway. Eve is a silver simoid bot who's standing next to Melon together with Kodex, a blue simoid bot. Eve and Kodex look at each other.
From Chapter 29. 15 years ago. Simeon arrives with Transportalate at 3 Cobblebottom Street, Henford-on-Bagley, just as Agnes and Agatha Crumplebottom have started to hover and their blue amulets have started to shine, because they're about to lose their magical powers.
From chapter 40. Beren and Ahriman are sitting next to each other on a bench on the roof terrace of Briny Tower at Foxbury Campus. Ahriman has his hands on his thighs and Beren puts his hand on top of one of Ahriman's hands.

Fun fact: Since there's only one way to make nectar in this game, which is also a very out of character way for Ahriman to do it, I built a little nectar making basement, just so that I don't have to see him when he makes nectar 😂😅
A four-by-four basement in The Sims 4. The basement has brown wallpaper, wooden floor and a wooden ladder that leads down to it from the ground floor above. In the basement is a small ceiling chandelier and a big barrel for stomping grapes and other fruits to make nectar, the Sims equivalent to wine.

Beren visits Ned. Ned has recently moved to a house in Courtyard Lane, Willow Creek, and has just planted his baby cowplant in the garden. Ned shows the calfplant to Beren.
Beren and Ned take a walk around the neighbourhood. They sit down by the water and talk.
Beren and Ned continue to walk and talk.
Beren is at home. He stands next to his Robotics Workstation and cries quietly as he thinks about the ethical dilemma of building a simoid bot.

I was hoping that the new, realistic-looking nails (left) in Sims 4, would have realistic colours, but they're too dark on most skin tones, light, dark and everything in between. I guess I'll just go with the ones that I usually use (right), they're not perfect, but at least I can pick the colour.
The new, realistic-looking nails in The Sims 4. The sim in the picture has a tan skin tone, and while the nails are slightly lighter than this skin tone, they're not light enough.
The older nude nails, which have several swatches, so that I can more easily pick a swatch that works with the skin tone. While they're not perfect, and it's difficult to pick something that makes sense for some skin tones, it's easier to find something that works compared to the new ones that only have one nude swatch.

Chapter 8: New Year's Eve #TheSims4
In Ned, Travis, Liberty and Summer's house. Ned is sitting on the living room floor with a big flower pot in front of him. He has just planted the cowplant berry that Travis, Liberty and Summer gave him as a Winterfest present.
At The Solar Flare, a lounge in Oasis Springs. Beren, Ned, Travis, Liberty and Summer are attending a New Year's Eve party with a lot of people. Eve sees and recognises Beren, so they fly up to him to greet him.
Beren, Ned, Travis, Liberty and Summer are sitting in some sofas and chat with each other. Two of Ned's exes, Amber and Lacey, enter the room.
Everyone at the party gathers in front of the television to watch the countdown to the new year.
